Private Course (Do not book)

This is a course for age 8 to 15 complete beginners to introduce students to sailing. The course incorporates RYA Stage 2

Typically, Optimists (Oppies) are used for age 8-10 and Toppers for age 10-15.

The second stage builds on the foundation that was created in Stage 1. It introduces the fundamentals of sailing upwind, sailing downwind and gybing. By the end of the course the young dinghy sailors will have learnt to sail in all directions and should be in a good position to keep practicing their skills until they are ready for the third stage of the RYA syllabus.

Pre-requisites:

• Age 8 to 15 inclusive.
• No sailing experience necessary.
